On behalf of the entire firm, I am pleased to share Dopkins has successfully completed its 11th rigorous peer review of our accounting and auditing practice. The reviewer(s) concluded that the Firm’s system of quality control for the accounting and auditing practice in effect for the year ended May 31, 2013 has been suitably designed and complied with to provide reasonable assurance of performing and reporting in conformity with applicable professional standards in all material respects. Dopkins was awarded a rating of “pass”-- the highest ranking possible.
We are gratifed that an independent peer firm thoroughly reviewed our work and found it to be of very high quality. It is a testiment to our team who live and breathe our commitments, our core values and One Firm philosophy. It is particularly meaningful since Dopkins was among the first firms in the area to voluntarily undergo a “peer review” when the AICPA launched the program 33 years ago and we strongly supported the AICPA’s vote in favor of mandatory peer reviews in 1988. Now, a firm participating in the Peer Review Program must have an independent review of its accounting and auditing practice every three years by another independent CPA firm qualified under the program's requirements for service as a reviewer.
